Larkspur
Elementary School Assembly
Betty Prince
On February 19, 2010, the Larkspur Historical Society
presented the Larkspur Elementary School with a memorial plaque
honoring Betty Prince who passed in December, 2008. Betty was
the founder and first president of the Larkspur Historical Society and
the secretary of the Larkspur Elementary School
for twenty-three years. In addition to the bronze plaque
memorializing Betty, the historical society presented the school with
a framed poster which was produced by the society in 2009, “Historic
Larkspur …changing times.” Daryl Sigman, Principal, accepted
the presentations for the school.
The assembly was attended by the three hundred-fifty-plus student
body, teachers and parents plus special Prince family guests.
The guests included Frank and Randy Prince, sons of Betty;
Chad
and Marcie Campagnola and their three children, Betty’s grandson and
wife and great-grandchildren; Gene Campagnola, Betty’s son-in-law;
and, two close friends of Betty’s: Pastor Tim Ralph and Cheryl
Boughton.
