LHS at the Douglas County Fair

Larkspur Historical Society was asked to join other historical societies in Douglas County on August 8-10, 2008 to celebrate the 90th year of the Douglas County Fair. We assembled in our own tent shared by the Douglas County Historic Preservation Board and were able to meet and talk to many friends about the history of Douglas County and our respective areas of interest. Many of the former Douglas County Fair Board members were present on Sunday and received a 90th anniversary celebration poster in addition to sharing their memories of fairs over many years. Danna Hamling, Penny Burdick, Garry & Joan O'Hara and Larry Schlupp manned the table over the three day period.
